2021 -- As Cal Poly's Friday night starter, posted 6-6 record and 3.79 ERA with team-leading 104 strikeouts over 90 1/3 innings ... strikeout total was No. 3 in the Big West while his innings pitched were No. 2 ... earned victories against Nevada, Utah Valley, San Jose State, UC Riverside, Cal State Fullerton and Hawai'i ... went seven innings or more six times, including 7 2/3 frames in first start against Nevada, allowing no runs and one hit with seven strikeouts in the 4-0 win ... also tossed 7 1/3 scoreless innings, scattering five hits with eight strikeouts, in 5-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton ... matched his career high with 13 strikeouts in 4-1 loss to UC Santa Barbara ... also struck out 12 versus Long Beach State and 10 against UC San Diego ... pitched one complete game, a 13-3 win over Hawai'i in the final series of the season in a game called after seven innings due to the Big West's 10-run rule ... picked up a save with one scoreless inning at CSUN ... went over the 100-pitch count seven times with five other games above 90 ... pitched for Yarmouth-Dennis in the Cape Cod League, compiling no decisions and 0.90 ERA with nine astrikeouts over 10 innings ... also pitched for USA Baseball's Team USA with 1-1 record and 12.38 ERA ... struck out 11 over eight innings ... victory was an 11-4 decision in final game of intrasquad series.
2020 -- Made four starts as Cal Poly's Sunday starter during true freshman season, compiling 1-1 record and 3.21 ERA before season was suspended due to pandemic ... earned win against BYU with eight scoreless innings in first Baggett Stadium start, striking out 13, two shy of the school Division I record, and allowing one walk and four hits ... suffered loss versus Baylor ... struck out eight over 6 1/3 innings against Baylor ... first collegiate start was versus defending national champion and No. 1-ranked Vanderbilt ... gave up two runs and four hits with three walks and six strikeouts over seven innings ... left game with 7-2 lead but received a no-decision ... finished with 31 strikeouts over 28 innings, walking seven ... did not play summer ball.
High School -- A .390 hitter with 12 doubles and two home runs as a senior shortstop and pitcher under head coach Chris Allred at Desert Hills High School in St. George, Utah ... on the mound posted 7-1 record and 1.93 ERA with 67 strikeouts over 51 1/3 innings ... led Desert Hills to Utah state 4A title and 27-3 overall record ... earned All-Utah honors for third straight year ... as a junior compiled 9-1 win-loss record and 2.36 ERA ... struck out 83 batters over 59 1/3 innings, issuing just 12 walks, en route to first-team All-Utah honors ... pitched a no-hitter against Pine View in April 2018 with 12 strikeouts and no walks ... at the plate, Thorpe hit .395 with five doubles, two triples, one home run and 26 RBI with a pair of steals ... a .398 career hitter with 20 doubles, six triples and five home runs ...
