Michael Moschitto
- Title:
- Student Manager
Michael Moschitto, a second-year computer science major with a minor in mathematics, is in his first season as a student manager with the Cal Poly baseball team.
A graduate of Santa Barbara High School, Moschitto played baseball under Wes Warrecker, a brother of Cal Poly assistant coach Teddy Warrecker. A pitcher, Moschitto earned a win against St. Francis of La Canada when he scattered five hits over five innings with three strikeouts in the 4-3 victory.
Moschitto also played volleyball, directed a nonprofit called Santa Barbara High Schools Give Back, and was a member of the computer science academy and Computer Science Club at Santa Barbara High. In my free time, Moschitto loves mountain biking, skiing, Spikeball, and going to the Recreation Center on campus.
Moschitto's parents are Mike and Daisy Moschitto and Michael has one brother, Peter, and one sister, Eva.
"I decided to be a part of the student manager team because it’s the perfect intersection of my two passions, baseball and programming," said Moschitto. "I currently tag games using our Bats software and am really hoping to step into a big role programming, analyzing and operating the Trackman unit once it is installed."
