Connor O’Hare, a two-year letterman on the Cal Poly baseball team, returns to his alma mater to serve as an undergraduate assistant coach this spring.
O’Hare capped his Mustang career with an RBI triple in the 2016 season finale against UC Davis. He hit .300 as a senior and .273 as a junior.
O’Hare played one season at Santa Barbara City College in 2014. He earned a spot on the President’s Honor Roll. That summer, he played for the San Luis Obispo Blues and hit .248 in 43 games with seven doubles, two triples and 25 RBI. O’Hare also stole four bases.
O’Hare was a redshirt at Cuesta College in 2012 and stepped away from school and sports for a year in 2013.
He is a 2011 graduate of San Luis Obispo High School, where as a junior under former Mustang pitcher Bobby Ryan hit .395 with a double, one triple and eight RBI as an outfielder, catcher and utility player. O’Hare hit .247 as a senior with two doubles and 12 RBI.
Born in San Luis Obispo, O’Hare is a business administration major at Cal Poly with a concentration in accounting.
