High School -- A 2022 graduate of Redwood High School in Marin County (Larkspur) ... under head coach Mike Firenzi, Welch hit .435 with four doubles and 20 RBIs in 28 games ... the co-team captain struck out just seven times in 100 plate appearances and produced a .500 on-base percentage and .482 slugging percentage ... named Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) Player of the Year ... also awarded the E.E.
