Will start 2014 season as one of Cal Poly's top right-handed relief pitchers out of the bullpen.
2013: Compiled 5-4 record and 5.37 ERA as a sophomore ... all 13 appearances on the mound were starts, primarily as Cal Poly's Sunday starter, but was shut down over final three weeks of season as his ERA jumped from 3.80 in early April to final 5.37 ... earned victories in first three starts with 1.42 ERA ... allowed one run in eight innings with career-high five strikeouts for win against Seattle on Feb. 24 and one unearned run and three hits in five innings for win against Washington on March 3 ... also gave up one run and three hits in five innings for win against UC Santa Barbara on March 24 ... struck out 28 batters in 57 innings ... 5-3 in day games and 0-1 in night contests ... played summer ball for San Luis Obispo Blues, going 2-0 with a 6.41 ERA and striking out 25 batters in 19 2/3 innings.
2012: Started five midweek games, them moved into weekend rotation for final three starts of freshman season … compiled 1-1 record and 3.60 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 30 innings … in final start of season at UC Riverside, pitched six scoreless innings, scattering five hits, for win, walking two and striking out three … also pitched five scoreless innings at Fresno State, scattering four hits … in home game vs. Fresno State a week earlier allowed one run and five hits in five innings with career-high four strikeouts … played summer ball for Corvallis Knights in West Coast Collegiate Baseball League … compiled 3-2 record and 2.04 ERA with 30 strikeouts over 39 2/3 innings (seven starts) … also pitched one inning in playoffs for the Knights, giving up three runs and three hits.
High School: A 2011 graduate of San Benito High School in Hollister ... posted 5-1 record and 2.72 ERA as a senior in 2011 under head coach Michael Luna with 64 strikeouts in 64.1 innings ... three complete games, including no-hitter in 5-0 victory over Salinas in semifinals of CIF-Central Coast Section Division I playoffs ... three walks and seven strikeouts in no-hitter ... earned 7-3 complete-game victories against both Gilroy and Wilcox (San Jose) ... hit .238 with a double, home run and 10 RBI with eight steals in nine attempts ... Haybalers lost to Palo Alto 5-4 in Division I title game, finishing season 22-9 overall and 15-3 for first place in Tri-County League ... Granger earned first-team All-TCL honors and was named league's pitcher of the year ... also named a top-10 pitcher in Northern California and top 50 in the state ... Haybalers won TCL title all four years Granger was on the team ... as a junior Granger was 6-2 with 1.52 ERA, striking out 68 batters in 46 innings with 13 walks en route to first-team all-TCL honors ... earned pair of saves and a no-hitter with 10-strikeout 7-0 victory over Alisal ... three-hit shutout against Milpitas in postseason as San Benito reached quarterfinal round and finished 21-7 overall ... pitched in Bay Area World Series in Santa Clara as well as Rawlings NorCal World Series in Stockton ... named all-tournament at both showcases ... recruited by San Jose State, Santa Clara, UC Santa Barbara, Cal, Long Beach State, Army, UC Davis and Sacramento State, choosing Cal Poly "because of the coaching staff, the location and my major."
