2012: Earned second-team All-Big West honors as an outfielder … started 52 games, 35 in left field, eight in right field and nine as designated hitter … one of five Mustangs to play all 56 games … went 14-for-23 with 15 RBI and eight runs scored in final seven games of season en route to back-to-back Big West Player of the Week honors … finished with .312 average, collecting 12 doubles, two triples and four home runs with 36 RBI … 13-for-18 in stolen bases … fourth in the Big West in steals … two errors in 105 chances in the outfield for a .981 fielding percentage … opened sophomore season with nine starts as designated hitter, then was moved to left field and was there ever since, with an occasional appearance in right field or first base in the late innings ... was hitting just .222 as the DH, but hiked his average nearly 100 points after moving to the outfield ... four-hit games against UC Irvine and UC Riverside, quartet of three-hit games and 10 two-hit contests … 10 multiple-RBI games … ended season with seven-game hitting streak ... solo home run in Minnesota series at Metrodome and another solo shot against UC Irvine ... 6-for-12 in UC Irvine series … hit .419 against left-handers, .351 in Big West games, .337 on the road and .383 in day games … earned team's Dave Oliver Hustle Award … played summer ball for Green Bay Bullfrogs in Northwoods League, posting a .282 average (60-for-213) with eight doubles, three triples, three home runs and 23 RBI, stealing 13 of 18 bases … also appeared on the mound six times for Green Bay … did not allow a run in first three stints and finished with 0-1 record and 5.00 ERA with 15 strikeouts and seven walks over nine innings.
2011: Started 17 games as a true freshman, nine in the outfield and eight at first base … finished with .161 average, never breaking the .200 mark but coming close several times … hit Cal Poly's first home run of season Feb. 26 at Oklahoma State, a solo shot … also contributed three doubles and a triple in the season … drove in four runs … lone two-hit game was against Oklahoma State on Feb. 27 … did not commit an error in 68 defensive chances … played summer ball for West Coast Collegiate Baseball League champion Corvallis Knights … went 2-for-9 in championship series against Walla Walla with two runs scored, a pair of RBI and a triple … in regular season hit .271 with 12 doubles, two triples, one home run, team-leading 23 RBI and 10 stolen bases … hit .300 in postseason … named most valuable player of the Knights, presented the Joe Segel Hustle Award and named to All-WCCBL first team … rated No. 17 WCCBL prospect by PG Crosschecker.
