GULF SHORE, Ala. – Just days after earning First Team All-Big West honors, four Mustang beach volleyball players were named AVCA All-Americans Thursday.
Ella Connor and Erin Inskeep were both named First Team All-Americans. Logan Walter and Izzy Martinez were each named Second Team All-Americans. Cal Poly was the only school to have four players named All-Americans. The first and second teams each consisted of 16 players, with 12 schools representing the 32 players.
Connor and Inskeep have been one of the top No. 1 pairs in the country this season. They hold a 31-5 record heading into the NCAA Championship. They had 13 wins over pairs from ranked opponents and were named Big West Pair of the Week three times this season. Earlier this week, they were named the Big West Pair of the Year.
For Connor, she is now a three-time AVCA All-American, earning the honor in 2022, 2024, and 2026. Earlier this season, she surpassed 100 career wins and became the program’s leader in all-time career wins.
Inskeep is now also a three-time All-American, having earned the honor in each of her first three seasons. She surpassed 75 career wins earlier this season.
Walter and Martinez have also been one of the top pairs in the entire country this season. They are 34-3 on the year, with 15 of those wins over pairs from ranked teams. They also won Big West Pair of the Week and AVCA/CBVB National Pair of the Week one time each. This season, they broke the program record for both career wins as a pair and most wins by a pair in a single season.
Just like Connor and Inskeep, Martinez is now also a three-time AVCA All-American in her career. She is second in program history with 110 career victories. Walter has now earned AVCA All-American honors twice, doing so also last season. She surpassed 75 career wins earlier this season.
This is the third year in a row the Mustangs have had four players named AVCA All-American. Cal Poly has the most All-Americans in Big West history, now with 20.
Cal Poly competes in the NCAA Championship this week in Gulf Shores, Ala. Their first round match is Friday at 2 p.m. PT on ESPN2 against Grand Canyon.
