Connor, Inskeep, Rogers Headline Cal Poly on All-Big West Awards

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Ella Connor and Erin Inskeep were named Big West Pair of the Year, head coach Todd Rogers was named Big West Coach of the Year, and a total of nine Mustang beach volleyball players earned All-Big West honors, the conference announced Tuesday.
Connor, Inskeep, Logan Walter, and Izzy Martinez each earned First Team All-Big West honors. Quinn Perry and Julia Westby each were named Second Team All-Big West. Ashleigh Adams and Elise Lenahan earned Honorable Mention All-Big West and Hannah Byers was named to the Big West All-Freshman Team.
Connor and Inskeep have been one of the top No. 1 pairs in the country this season. They hold a 31-5 record heading into the NCAA Championship. They had 13 wins over pairs from ranked opponents and were named Big West Pair of the Week three times this season.
For Connor, this is the second time she’s won Big West Pair of the Year, winning it with Izzy Martinez in 2024. This is also her fourth All-Big West honor of her career, including third First Team selection. Earlier this season, she surpassed 100 career wins and became the program’s leader in all-time career wins. For Inskeep, she has now earned First Team honors in each of three seasons.
Head coach Todd Rogers earned Big West Coach of the Year honors after leading the Mustangs to the program’s fourth Big West title last week. Under Rogers, Cal Poly had its third straight season of at least 30 wins. This is the fifth time in his 11 years as head coach winning Big West Coach of the Year.
Walter and Martinez have also been one of the top pairs in the entire country this season. They are 34-3 on the year, with 15 of those wins over pairs from ranked teams. They have also won Big West Pair of the Week and AVCA/CBVB National Pair of the Week one time each.
Martinez is now just the fourth player in Big West history, third from Cal Poly, to earn First Team All-Big West honors four times. Walter has now earned All-Big West honors in each of her first three seasons, with two straight seasons of earning First Team honors.
Perry earned Second Team honors with a total record of 30-7 so far this season. She has primarily played with Ashleigh Adams at the No. 3 spot, going 26-4 as a duo. Perry has earned All-Big West honors in each of first three seasons.
Westby earned Second Team honors in her first season with the Mustangs after spending the last three years at Long Beach State. She has a combined record of 32-5 this season. She has primarily been playing with Elise Lenahan at the No. 4 spot, going 28-3 as a duo. Adams has now earned All-Big West honors four times in her career.
