Westby, Lenahan Named Big West Pair of the Week

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Following a 4-0 weekend, Cal Poly beach volleyball duo Elise Lenahan and Julia Westby have been named the Big West Pair of the Week.
Last weekend at a tournament in Stanford, Lenahan and Westby beat pairs from No. 2 Stanford, No. 7 Cal, Pepperdine, and San Jose State while playing at the No. 4 spot in the lineup. They helped the No. 6 Mustangs collect wins as a team over No. 7 Cal, Pepperdine and San Jose State.
This is the first award this season for Westby and Lenahan. They are 24-3 as a duo this season together.
Lenahan, Westby and the rest of the Mustangs will now prepare to compete for a Big West title this week at the Big West Championship hosted by Cal Poly Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24. Thursday, the Mustangs face CSUN at 11:30 a.m. and UC Davis at 7 p.m.
Friday, their semifinal match would be at 12:30 p.m. with the championship final match at 3:15 p.m. at Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex.
