SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Just five months after capping their historic season with an appearance in the NCAA Eugene Regional, the Cal Poly Baseball program is continuing to build its next chapters. Head Coach Larry Lee has officially announced a dynamic 10-player recruiting class, set to arrive on campus for the 2027 season.
Under Coach Lee and his staff, the Mustangs have consistently demonstrated a keen eye for identifying and developing talent while preparing countless players for the pro level. This is especially evident in the past two seasons, where each freshman class has produced multiple players who made immediate impacts in the starting lineup and at least two Mustang alums were drafted.
The bar for first-year excellence has recently been set high by standouts like Griffin Naess (2024) and Nate Castellon (2025), who both earned national honors for their stellar debut campaigns. Brimming with potential, the newest crop of Mustangs aims to be another special group, poised to contribute immediately and write their own names into the Cal Poly baseball legacy.
