Connor, Martinez, Ferch Named to 2024 USA Beach Collegiate National Team

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – After each having stellar 2024 seasons, Cal Poly beach volleyball student-athletes Ella Connor, Izzy Martinez, and Piper Ferch have been selected to be part of the 2024 USA Collegiate Beach National Team.

They will train June 11-19 in Hermosa Beach, Calif. alongside USA Volleyball's A2 Beach National Team. They will play in the Beach Senior National Team NORCECA Trials on June 18-19, where the winners will automatically earn a bid to represent the USA at upcoming NORCECA competitions.
Connor and Martinez solidified their spots on the team after they paired together at the 2024 Beach World University Championship Trials last month and finished second.
Connor and Ferch were both part of the 2022 Beach U20 National Team in which they won gold on the NORCECA U23 Continental Tour.
During the 2024 collegiate season, Connor and Martinez were named AVCA First Team All-Americans and won Big West Pair of the Year. Ferch was named AVCA Second Team All-American, First Team All-Big West, and broke a program record for pair wins in a season. All three were huge catalysts behind the Mustangs having the most successful season in program history, making it to the NCAA Championship Semifinals and finishing the season with a No. 3 national ranking.
