Cal Poly to Part Ways with John Smith at Season’s End

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly Director of Athletics Don Oberhelman announced today that head men's basketball coach John Smith will not be returning next season. Coach Smith will lead the Mustangs through the remaining three games of the season. "Thanks to John for his leadership and commitment to our university," Oberhelman said. "We wish him the very best with what is next for him and his family." A national search for a replacement is underway.
