Five Cal Poly Matmen Ranked by NCAA Division I Wrestling Coaches

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Evan Wick heads the list of five Cal Poly wrestlers in the NCAA Division I Coaches Rankings this week.
Wick is ranked No. 1 at 165 pounds with a 16-0 overall record.
Bernie Truax sports a No. 5 ranking at 184 pounds with a 13-1 mark.
Also in the rankings are No. 15 Adam Kemp (12-3) at 174, No. 19 Legend Lamer (13-4) at 149 and No. 28 Antonio Lorenzo (17-7) at 125.
Lawrence Saenz, 12-5 at 141 pounds and ranked in several online polls, did not make the coaches rankings this week.
The NCAA on Wednesday also released the weight class allocations for the 2022 NCAA Division I National Championships, scheduled for March 17-19 in Detroit.
The Pac-12 Conference has been allocated three spots at 125, 133, 149 and 165 pounds, one position at 197 and two spots in each of the remaining five weight classes for a total of 23 automatic qualifying positions.
Arizona State will host the Pac-12 Championships on Sunday, March 6, at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, Arizona.
