SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- DLR Group, designers of Cal Poly's Dignity Health Baseball Clubhouse, was recently recognized with several major awards for the experiential graphics at the facility. The graphics are a combination of experiential graphic design, illustration, signage, donor recognition, story-telling and brand implementation.
The design of the experiential graphics inside the $9.2 million building was named a Gold Winner in the 2021 MUSE Creative Awards competition. MUSE Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals who inspire others to greater heights.
In addition, DLR Group was recently recognized with an honorable mention nod for its work on the baseball clubhouse as part of the Graphis Design Annual 2022 and will be featured in the hardcover book scheduled to be released in November. Graphis annually publishes the world's most prestigious award-winning work.
And on Dec. 8, the experiential graphic design was awarded with the top honor of Gold at Transform Awards North America awards gala in New York City. The Transform Awards is a global celebration of brand development, reputation management and transformation work.
"Cal Poly baseball head coach Larry Lee, assistant coach Teddy Warrecker and project manager Austin Creel all played significant roles in the development of the project," said Adam Wells, who leads the Experiential Graphic Design Studio at DLR Group. " It was incredible working with the team and a group effort from start to finish. This is definitely one of our favorite projects."
DLR Group is an integrated design firm with 30 offices around the world, including California locations in Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
