
No. 14 Mustangs Blank Nebraska For Third Win in a Row

TEMPE, Ariz.— The Cal Poly beach volleyball team swept Nebraska on Saturday 5-0 to win its third match in a row in the Sun Devil Challenge Tournament at Arizona State.
The Mustangs (3-1) won all five matches against the Huskers (1-1) and won them all in straight sets.
The No. 1 pairing of Torrey Van Winden and Tia Miric beat Nebraska's Lauren Stivrins and Kenzie Maloney 21-13, 21-14 for their second win in a row. The No. 3 duo of Raeann Greisen and Hannah Hubbard defeated Sami Slaughter and Jazz Sweet 21-8, 21-18.
Adlee Van Winden and Brayden Gruenewald easily beat Chesney McClellan and Hayley Densberger 21-9, 21-12 from the No. 4 spot. At the No. 5 spot, Heather Pembroke and Macy Gordon won 21-18, 21-10 over Allie Havers and Jasmine Schmidt.
The No. 2 duo of Emily Sonny and Samantha Manley won their match in straight sets, defeating Kelly Hunter and Annika Albrecht 25-23, 21-18.

The win comes a day after Cal Poly beat two top ten ranked teams in No. 2 Pepperdine and No. 10 Grand Canyon.
