One of the all-time greatest boxers in Cal Poly history, Frank Loduca represented the Mustangs at several collegiate tournaments, including the NCAA Championships.
A Pacific Coast Invitational champion and two-time NCAA finalist, Loduca was the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate champion, one of the only two boxers from California to achieve the honor. Loduca was also named to the National Intercollegiate Boxing Coaches All-American team and the 1956 Outstanding Boxer of the Year.
In 1957, he served as assistant boxing coach under Tom Lee. An active supporter of Cal Poly Athletics, Frank was a member of the Cal Poly Alumni Association Board of Directors (1985-94), founder of the Delta Lode Chapter, and a member of the CSU Alumni Council. He graduated from Cal Poly in 1954 with a degree in agriculture.
In 1982 he established the L & L Transplant Company, which specializes in vegetable transplants, and still owns the company as of 2020.
