A four-year letter winner in football, Dana Nafziger was a three time All-California Collegiate Athletic Association selection.
During his Cal Poly career, Dana finished with 63 receptions for 882 yards and six touchdowns. Dana led Cal Poly in receiving as a sophomore with 30 receptions for 498 yards and two touchdowns, the seventh-best single-season performance in team history at the time. As a senior, Dana was named a Division II All-American.
Considered one of the best blocking receivers to ever play at Cal Poly, Dana later took his talents to the National Football League, where he was a linebacker and special teams captain with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1977-1982.
A graduate of Western High School in Anaheim, Calif., Dana earned his bachelor's degree in business administration in 1977 with a concentration in management and operations. He owns and operates Aqua Systems, Inc., a business since 1984 in San Luis Obispo, where he resides with his wife and two children.
