Cal Poly Volleyball Picks Up Second Sweep of the Week

The Cal Poly volleyball team picked up its second sweep of the week, as they beat UC Santa Barbara Saturday night 3-0 in Santa Barbara.

The Mustangs beat the Gauchos 25-23, 25-21, 25-16, advancing them to 10-6 on the season and 3-2 in conference play. 

The Mustangs put up a total of 45 kills over the three sets, while sophomore Adlee Van Winden and junior Raeann Greisen led the team with 13 each.

Cal Poly had a .291 attack percentage while UCSB had .192.

Junior Taylor Nelson led the Mustangs in assists, as she had 36 and also had nine digs and one kill.

Sophomore Katherine Brouker led the team in digs with 14, followed by Van Winden with 11.

Cal Poly had four total blocks compared to UCSB's three.

The Mustangs will be back in action next Friday to take on Cal State Fullerton and then UC Riverside on Saturday.
