MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Kristina Gravel and Catie Smith each tallied 11 kills in leading the Cal Poly volleyball team to a three set sweep over host Middle Tennessee in the final match of Middle Tennessee Tournament. Set scores when 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20. The Mustangs improve to 4-6 on the season and will return to the court when they travel to Oregon to face the Ducks on Tuesday, Sept. 13th.

Jennifer Keddy and Chelsea Hardin added seven kills each as Cal Poly hit .330 for the match.

Smith's kills came on just 25 swings and no errors, hitting .440 for the match. Graven's kills came on 30 swings without an error hitting .367 for the match.

Lauren Law had 12 digs to lead the team. Kate Walters dished out 29 assists in the three sets.

Cal Poly controlled the net with 14 team blocks led by Keddy with 10 total blocks (three solo). Middle Tennessee managed only two team blocks.

Middle Tennessee was led by Ashley Adams and Maria Szivos with 12 kills each as the team hit .171 for the match.

The Mustangs domination was complete with only three lead changes in the entire match as Cal Poly earned 64 percent of the sideout's.
