UPDATE: To allow time to let the courts dry, the start time for Saturday's match has been moved back to 12 p.m.
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — After playing the first couple weeks of the season on the road, the Cal Poly women's tennis team will open the home portion of its schedule Saturday when it hosts Santa Clara for a dual match.
Start time against the Broncos (1-2) is set for 11 a.m. from Mustang Tennis Complex. Admission is free to everyone.
The Mustangs (1-3) are coming off a weekend in which they split two road matches in southern California. They blanked future Big West opponent UC San Diego 4-0 Saturday for its first win of the 2019 season.
In the early goings of the season, Cal Poly has been led in singles by junior transfer Emily Louie-Meadors, who is 3-0 at the first and second positions, and sophomore MacKenzie Worsnop, who is 2-1 this season at the fourth and fifth spots.
Last season, the Mustangs won their first three home matches, finishing 4-4 at home for the year.
Following Saturday's match, Cal Poly will go back on the road for a Monday match against San Francisco.
