Cal Poly to Host UC Davis for Senior Day at 2 p.m. Sunday

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly women's soccer team will host UC Davis for Senior Day in Alex G. Spanos Stadium on Sunday afternoon, honoring a class of nine graduating Mustangs before the 2 p.m. kickoff.

The Cal Poly senior class is comprised of (followed by each respective student-athlete's major):

- Kendra Bonsall, Biological Sciences (Marine Biology)
- Colby Carson, Business
- Cassandra Fäsi, Recreation, Parks & Tourism Administration (Hospitality)
- Nicole Fetsch, Business
- Miki Foster, Biological Sciences (Anatomy/Physiology)
- Breanna Rittmann, Graphic Communications (Management)
- Jordan Smith, Business
- Shannon Stabler, Kinesiology (Exercise Science)
- Nicole Wheeler, Communication Studies

Including four fifth-year Mustangs who redshirted since 2012, the class has combined to win 42 games, qualify for three Big West tournaments and win a regular-season conference championship as well as earn 25 Dean's List honors.

Bonsall leads the class with 69 career games played and 59 starts (tied for No. 20 in school history in the latter), having scored six goals with three assists while playing multiple positions.

Wheeler is next on the squad with 60 appearances and 48 career starts either in the back line or midfield, also having scored a goal with two assists while contributing to 22 shutouts. She co-captains the Mustangs along with Rittmann and junior midfielder Emily Hansen.

Hansen is coming off a weekend in which she scored in the 31st minute of the 2-1 loss at UC Irvine on Oct. 21, putting away a rebound of a shot from freshman Jessica Johnson for her third career goal.

Sophomore Caitlyn Kreutz is the leading goal scorer (four) entering the finale for Cal Poly (6-10-2, 1-5-1), while freshman Sophia Brown (84 saves) has been in goal the entire year, posting three shutouts.

All but two of the Mustangs' losses this season have been by one goal.

Before heading up the Central Coast, the Aggies (6-8-3, 2-3-1) will visit UC Santa Barbara for a 7 p.m. Thursday game.

Both Rachel Ahr and Celina Minissian lead UCD with four goals apiece, while Alexis Smith (65 saves) has also played every minute in goal this season, accumulating five shutouts.
