Santiago Named MVP as Dunav Wins Championship

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.  Former Cal Poly standout Kristina Santiago led Dunav 8806 to a 77-49 win over Neftochimic in the fourth game of the championship series. Santiago was named MVP in leading Dunav to the championships, taking the series three games to one.

In series finale, Santiago scored 19 points with 11 rebounds. Her points came when she hit nine of 18 shots from the floor.

In the four game series, Santiago shot 54 percent from the floor when she averaged 23.5 points and 14.3 rebounds.

She scored a series-high 30 points in the first game of the series and added games of 17, 28 and 19 points. Her all-around game included 12 steals and 12 assists in the championship.
