Former Cal Poly standout Kristina Santiago led the Dunav 8806 to a 96-92 win over Neftochimic in the first game of the championship series. Santiago scored 30 points with 17 rebounds in the win.
The 2012 Cal Poly graduate hit 13 of 19 shots from the floor and made four of five from the line as the team shot 50 percent from the floor. On the boards, Santiago grabbed 12 of her 17 rebounds on the offensive end.
Dunav forced 19 turnovers and outrebounded Ndftochimic, 47-35.
Fellow American Amanda Johnson recorded a double-double of her own with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
