Approximately 70 Mustangs are entered in events.

The seniors making their final home appearances are Nick Bultman (in the men's hammer), Alex Ziebart (men's javelin), Kendal Nielsen (women's long and triple jumps), Walter Finney (men's 100 and 200, as well as the 4x100 relay), and distance runners Luis Morales, Sara Van Dyke, Erika Veidis and Nick Woolf.

About a fourth of the squad — 23 Mustangs — currently have season-best times or marks ranking within the top five throughout the Big West, including conference leaders in Nielsen (41 feet, 4.25 inches in the triple jump) and Woolf (8:48.03 in the steeplechase).

Cal Poly also has each of the Big West's No. 1-ranked 5,000 runners in junior Swarnjit Boyal (at 14:02.40) and freshman Peyton Bilo (16:13.55).

UCSB is led by senior Shyan Vaziri, who ranks 20th in the country in the 1,500, at 3:42.23, while the Gaucho women feature the nation's 23rd-ranked high jumper, as senior Jessica Emde owns a season-best clearance of 5' 10" (just 0.75" above No. 2, Mustang sophomore Danielle Taylor).

Construction is ongoing along the Grand Avenue entrance to campus due to the student housing project underway, but parking is available for free on weekends in the four-story structure adjacent to the track, as well as in the G2 lot neighboring the spectator field to the west of the track.

Further on-campus parking is open in lots H12 and H14 next to Baggett Stadium.

Long Beach State will host the Big West Championships, commencing with the decathlon and heptathlon scheduled for May 6-7, before all other competition returns to Jack Rose Track for May 13-14 (with FOX Sports Prime Ticket televising the last day).
