Cal Poly Track & Field Returns to Clovis for Bulldog Invitational

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly track & field team will travel to Clovis for the second time this season on Saturday for the Bulldog Invitational. Fresno State will host the meet at nearby Veterans Memorial Stadium, with parking and admission free.

Events will begin with the hammer throw at 12 noon and finish with the 4x400-meter relays around 7:30 p.m. For a full schedule, click here. All field events will feature four attempts.

Oregon State, Nevada, UNLV, CSUN, Pacific, San Jose State and CSU Bakersfield will also be in attendance. Cal Poly also took on Fresno State on March 22 at the CenCal Twilight meet.

Among a total of 56 Mustangs scheduled to compete, 11 individuals already owning top-five rankings throughout the Big West Conference are entered in events for Saturday:

Ben Hartinger (14.57 • 110-meter hurdles)
Brian Graber and Vince Porter (each 6' 8.75" • high jump)
Arnie Sambel (54' 10.75" • shot put)
Ricky Strehlow (48' 2.75" • triple jump)
Alex Ziebart (204' 9" • javelin)

Megan Mooney (146' 8" • javelin)
Kendal Nielsen (41' 4.25" • triple jump)
Jessica Rasmussen (19' 2.75" • long jump)
Danielle Taylor (5' 9.25" • high jump)
