Cal Poly Track & Field Returns to Washington for Husky Classic Indoor Meet

SEATTLE — The Cal Poly women's track & field team will return to Dempsey Indoor on the campus of Washington this weekend, continuing the indoor season at the Husky Classic on Saturday.

A squad of 15 Mustangs is scheduled to compete in the following events:

9 a.m.
60-Meter Hurdles: Ciara Levy (So., 8.81)

9:30 a.m.
60-Meter Dash: A'Jah Love (Sr., 7.81), Daijah Joe-Smith (Jr., 7.68), Ralaina LiDrazzah (Fr., 8.03), Jessica Escalante (Jr., 7.99)

10 a.m.
High Jump: Danielle Taylor (So., 5-7)
Long Jump: Kalesi Budei (Fr., 16-7.75), Mishe' Scott (Jr., 19-1.5), Kendal Nielsen (Sr., 18-10.75), Jessica Rasmussen (Jr., 19-0.75)

1 p.m.
Shot Put: Kiely Osby (So., 47-8.5)

3:30 p.m.
Triple Jump: Nielsen (40-10.5), Budei (37-0.25)

5:25 p.m.
4x400-Meter Relay (3:50.74):
A: Rasmussen, Love, Anna Carskaden (So.), Mallory Patino (Jr.), Nikki Boggs (Fr.)
B: Chloe Carlson (So.), LiDrazzah, Escalante, Joe-Smith

Cal Poly began the season Jan. 29-30 at the UW Invitational, where Rasmussen came in 20th place in the pentathlon on Day 1 before Taylor won the high jump to lead a trio of Day 2 top-10 finishes.

The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held March 11-12 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Alabama.

March 12 also marks the start of the outdoor season, as Cal Poly will head to UC Riverside for an all-Big West Conference double-dual meet along with UC Santa Barbara.
