Swam the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:23.23) to a runner-up showing on Nov. 8 at the Mustang Invitational ... completed a second-place showing during 500 free (5:10.20) on Feb. 1 at UCSB ... combined on a sixth-place finish in the 400 free relay (at 3:25.92) during the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on Feb. 22.

Swam for several NISCA/Speedo All-American relay teams while at Cypress Creek High School in Houston … during her junior year, belonged to the Cougars’ 400-yard freestyle relay squad that clocked a time of 3:30.08 (ranking No. 59 in the country), as well as the 200 free team that finished in a school-record 1:37.21 … as a sophomore, her 400 free team had the 24th-fastest time nationally (a school-record 3:28.35) … also played water polo for the Cougars … was chosen for Texas Academic All-State honors and was an AP Scholar With Distinction … also was a National Merit Scholar, belonged to the National Honor Society as well as student council at Cy Creek, and participated in Science Olympiad program … chose Cal Poly because “it’s a great school with a beautiful campus.”
