AUSTIN, Texas– Cal Poly freshman Ian Sinclair finished in the top ten in the last day of competition at the 2012 AT & T Winter National Championships. Sinclair finshed in 10th place in the 1650 freestyle with his time of 15:22.11 gaining seven points for Cal Poly.
Cal Poly senior Angie Haven swam in her third and final event of the championships. Haven competed in the 200 breaststroke and finished in 31st place at 2:16.17.
Cal Poly freshman Paolo Stanchi competed in the 200 backstroke, finishing at 1:49.89 finishing in 43rd place. The event was won by Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte.
The National Chmpionships were very successful for the Mustangs. Four swimmers qualified for eight events, three advanced to finals and there was one top 10 finish.
Next up Cal Poly for the Mustangs will be the UCLA Diving Invitational starting January 11 and Cal Poly versus UC San Diego on January 26.
