The Cal Poly men swimming season is wrapping up their regular season as they compete at the PAC-12 Swimming Championships at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park.
In the Diving Championships, Cal Poly freshman Elliott Adams had his best finish in the 3 meter dive with a score of 247.70 giving him a 13th place finish. Adams scored 200.90 points in the 1 meter dive landing him in 16th place. And in the platform, Elliott Adams finished in 17th place with 172.05 total points.
Swimming competition started with two relay events on Wednesday. In the 200 medley relay, the Cal Poly team made up of sophomore Joseph Wasko, freshman Jimmy Deiparine, freshman Jesse McWhirk and freshman Mackey Hopen finished in eighth place with a time of 1:32.20 putting 22 points on the board.
The 800 freestyle relay also brought the team an eighth place finish and another 22 points. The team was made up of freshman Christian Renfro, sophomore Konrad Antoniuk, junior Eddie Huang and sophomore Adrian Brynnel.
Cal Poly finished the day in eighth place with 44 points.
There are four events on Thursday. The Championships continue through March 3, 2012. The NCAA Swimming Championships will be March 15-17, 2012 in Auburn, AL.
