Broadcaster Anderson-Yoxsimer Makes Cal Poly Debut on Thursday

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Zachary Anderson-Yoxsimer will join the Mustang Sports Network this fall as the first-year broadcaster will call the play-by-play action for Cal Poly's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, women's basketball and softball programs.

Anderson-Yoxsimer's first broadcast for Cal Poly will be on Thursday, Sept. 5 with the Mustang volleyball program hosting North Texas. First serve from Mott Athletics Center is 7 p.m.

"I'm excited to join the Cal Poly broadcasting team," Anderson-Yoxsimer said. "This season is shaping up to be an exciting year and I can't wait to call the action. I'm thankful for the opportunity and ready to get to work."

A native of Harbor City, Calif., Anderson-Yoxsimer graduated from Long Beach State in 2019. He broadcasted Big West Conference games for the past two years while also contributing to Long Beach State's halftime and postgame shows.

In his capacity as sports director for 22 West Radio/88.1 FM, he managed and coordinated all live broadcasts for Long Beach State and oversaw the station's board operators. Additionally, Anderson-Yoxsimer has provided play-by-play for Prep Sports Network and hosted a trio of sports radio talk shows.

All Cal Poly broadcasts stream online for free through and accompany the live video streams.

Returning for his fourth year to broadcast Cal Poly's football, men's basketball and baseball games through and ESPN 1280 is Chris Sylvester. Sylvester also hosts the bi-weekly Cal Poly Coaches Show on and ESPN 1280.
