Cal Poly Men’s Basketball’s First Fan Fest Event Set for Saturday

SAN LUIS OBISPO – Three days into the program's 2019-20 practice preparations, the Cal Poly men's basketball team will host its first Fan Fest event on Saturday, Oct. 12. Action in Mott Athletics Center gets underway at 5 p.m.

Free to the public, the Fan Fest will feature an intrasquad game and Mustangs competing in a dunk contest, three-point contest and two-ball contest. Following the intrasquad game, Cal Poly players will be available to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.

Students who attend will have the opportunity to win a free iPad. All other fans in attendance will be entered into a raffle to be a coach for a day and sit on the Mustang bench during a selected home game.

Cal Poly opens the 2019-20 season under first-year head coach John Smith on Friday, Nov. 8 at Santa Clara. Cal Poly's season-opening road trip concludes at 2019 NCAA Tournament qualifier North Dakota State on Monday, Nov. 11.

Cal Poly's 13-game home schedule inside Mott Athletics Center begins on Friday, Nov. 15 versus NAIA Simpson at 7 p.m.
