Director of Football Operations • Third Year
Travis Roth is in his third season with the Cal Poly football program, serving as the Director of Football Operations.
In this role, Roth is involved in a wide variety of important administrative duties which support Mustang Football. His primary duties are related to overseeing the coordination of all team travel, oversight of the football budget, handling compliance and academic issues, scheduling and planning of facilities, assisting with recruiting operations and managing the day-to-day functions of the program.
Roth handles video operations, requesting and sending video between opponents. Roth is also responsible for many of the pro liaison duties and assists with organizing Cal Poly’s Pro Day.
Moreover, Roth coordinates special events (Fall Dinner and Auction, Senior Appreciation and End of Season Banquet, Home Team Tailgates, and the "Gone But Not Forgotten" Spring Game, Golf, Dinner and Silent Auction) working with the Athletic Advancement Department and the program’s Home Team.
In addition to these responsibilities, Roth organizes team community service events, most notably the Special Olympics in San Luis Obispo County.
Roth attended Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Roth attended Cal Poly for his Master of Public Policy. He played football for the California Lutheran University Kingsmen before an injury cut his career short.
Roth earned All-CIF-Southern Section honors as a quarterback and safety in high school. While playing for the North County Christian varsity squad, he passed for 3,219 yards and 46 TDs, ran for 823 yards, scoring 17 TDs, intercepted opposing quarterbacks nine times, and compiled a 19-5 record as a starter.
