SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Former Cal Poly pitcher Jeff Johnson has allowed just one run in 19 innings over 18 relief appearances for the Akron RubberDucks this spring.
Johnson (pictured at right) sports a 0.47 ERA with six saves for the Double-A Eastern League team this season, striking out 23 batters and allowing just five walks.
Outfielder Nick Torres currently is hitting .310 for Fort Wayne of the Midwest League while Joey Wagman is off to a 1-0 start and 1.93 ERA for Beloit, also in the Midwest League.
Chase Johnson sports a 2-2 record and 2.68 ERA for the San Jose Giants of the California League while Jimmy Allen is hitting .277 at Great Lakes and Mitch Haniger .271 at Mobile.
