Mackenzie Sullivan is in her fifth season with the Cal Poly beach volleyball program. Her duties include helping train each of the players and booking travel arrangements.
She studied Kinesiology in college and now helps construct sand plyometric training and speed work into the beach volleyball team’s conditioning program.
Sullivan played indoor volleyball at Cuesta College where she was an All-Western State Conference first team selection as an outside hitter. In one season, she finished with 300 kills, 214 digs and 18 aces (the most in school history). She also led the team in kills and digs per game. Prior to her time at Cuesta, she competed in the Nebraska All-Star Coaches Selection Game before moving to San Luis Obispo in 2009.
Originally from Waco, Nebraska, Sullivan began her coaching career at the Nebraska Volleyball Academy in Lincoln, NE. She has also been the head coach of the Cal Poly Women’s Indoor Club Volleyball team, in which she helped lead the team to a national title in 2016 and a third place finish in 2017.
