A three-time NCAA All-American in the high jump, Sue Rembao held the school record in the high jump at 6 feet, 2 inches for over 20 years. She placed second in the NCAA Division II National Championships as a freshman and sophomore, and won the title as a junior (1983).
Sue went on to compete successfully in the international arena. She was a member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Team in the high jump at Barcelona, Spain, where she set her personal best mark of 6 feet, 5 inches for a 16th-place tie.
She also competed in the U.S. Olympic Trials in 1980, 1984, 1992 and 1996 and was ranked in the top 10 in the nation eight years in the 1980s and 1990s, including a No. 2 ranking in both 1991 and 1992. She was Olympic Festival champion in 1991 and on the World Championship Team in 1991 and 1993.
Sue's coaching career included stints at Cal Poly, Arizona and Texas. She currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
