Jordan Davis, a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Eastern Illinois as the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach the last two years, was hired as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Cal Poly in January 2019. Coach Davis is in charge of programming and implementing training for the Football, Throwers, and Men's Soccer programs here at Cal Poly.
Davis also served as a graduate assistant at Eastern Illinois University, responsible for year round training and implementation for Baseball, Men's Soccer, Golf, Cross Country and the Throwers on the track and field team at Eastern Illinois from 2015-17 before becoming the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Football program in the winter of 2017.
Davis earned his bachelor's degree in applied exercise and health with a concentration in sports performance at Purdue in May 2015 and obtained his master's degree in sports administration at Eastern Illinois in May 2018.
Davis was a strength and conditioning intern at Eastern Washington, Purdue, Missouri and Notre Dame while studying at Purdue. He earned Dean's List honors at Davenport University and Eastern Illinois.
Davis played rugby at Penn High School in Mishawaka, Ind., as well as at Davenport and Purdue, earning Indiana all-state and All-Big Ten first-team honors.
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA and also is certified in CPR and AED.
