SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- After recording his second successive two-goal game in a Sept. 19 victory against Westmont and extending his goal-scoring streak to three straight matches, Cal Poly men’s soccer junior midfielder Emmanuel Perez was named the Mechanics Bank Cal Poly Student-Athlete of the Week for the second straight week.
During Cal Poly’s lone match last week, Perez scored twice 86 seconds apart early in the second half to propel the Mustangs to a 3-0 victory versus Westmont.

Having chalked up five goals in Cal Poly's last three games, Perez ranks third among Big West Conference players and 12th among NCAA Division I players with his five goals.
He also ranks fourth in program history with three career multi-goal games.
Winners of three straight, Cal Poly (3-2-0) concludes a five-match home stand when facing Seattle on Monday, Sept. 23, and Loyola Marymount on Thursday, Sept. 26. Kickoff both evenings is 7 p.m.
