Cal Poly Sweeps Away CSUN, Greisen Leads Way with 14 Kills October 3, 2015 Less than 24 hours after handing No. 24 Long Beach State its first Big West defeat in over a year, Cal Poly volleyball swept CSUN behind 14 kills from sophomore outside hitter Raeann Greisen on Saturday afternoon inside the Mott Athletic Center. Cal Poly freshman outside hitter Adlee Van Winden secured 12 kills – her 13th match this season with a double-figure kill total (in 14) – and sophomore setter Taylor Nelson produced a match-high 39 assists. Cal Poly Delivers No. 24 Long Beach State First Big West Loss Since 2013 October 3, 2015 Cal Poly volleyball had an opportunity on Friday evening to accomplish something that hasn't been done since Nov. 9, 2013 – beat Long Beach State during a Big West Conference match – and after a four-set Mustang victory, the 49ers 23-match unbeaten conference run was over. Pair of Cal Poly Volleyball Matches Endure Time Changes September 25, 2015 With both Cal Poly volleyball and football scheduled to begin at the same time on Saturday, Oct. 3, the Cal Poly Athletic Department has announced that the volleyball match versus CSUN has been moved back to reflect a start time of 4 p.m. PT. Cal Poly Defeated by No. 11 Hawai’i in Three Sets September 27, 2015 Cal Poly volleyball was swept in three sets (25-20, 25-12 and 25-19) by No. 11 Hawai'i on Saturday evening at the Stan Sheriff Center in the Big West Conference opener for the Mustangs. In defeat, freshman outside hitter Adlee Van Winden and sophomore outside hitter Raeann Greisen led Cal Poly with 12 kills apiece, while sophomore setter Taylor Nelson provided 26 assists and 11 digs. Loyola Marymount Roars Back to Life, Defeats Cal Poly in Four Sets September 19, 2015 The Cal Poly volleyball team opened its matchup against Loyola Marymount with a convincing opening set victory, but the Lions collected each of the next three sets to down the Mustangs in four sets on Saturday afternoon inside the Mott Athletics Center. Cal Poly freshman Adlee Van Winden (11 kills) and sophomore outside hitter Raeann Greisen (10) combined for 21 kills during the loss.
Cal Poly Sweeps Aztecs, Equals 2001 Season for Best Ten Match Start September 19, 2015 Playing in front of its home crowd for the first time this season, the Cal Poly volleyball program improved to 8-2 after a three-set sweep (25-22, 25-10 and 26-24) of San Diego State on Friday evening in front of 973 fans inside the Mott Athletics Center. Mustang sophomore outside hitter Raeann Greisen led all attackers with 17 kills and freshman outside hitter Adlee Van Winden continued her impressive initial collegiate season with 14 more kills in the victory.
Reminder of Wednesday's Match vs. Pepperdine Previously Canceled September 16, 2015 As a reminder for Cal Poly volleyball fans, the previously scheduled Wednesday, Sept. 16 match versus Pepperdine was canceled in August due to unforseen circumstances at the time. The match against the Waves will not be rescheduled.
Cal Poly Hosts San Diego State, LMU in First Home Matches of Season September 15, 2015 The Cal Poly volleyball program seeks to continue its best start to a season in a decade when entertaining both San Diego State at 7 p.m. Friday and Loyola Marymount at 4 p.m. Saturday inside the Mott Athletics Center. The Mustangs started the season with a 7-2 overall record, the program's best opening to a schedule since 2005.
