Cal Poly 13th After Two Rounds in Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Led by junior Asia Adell, Cal Poly is 13th among 19 teams competing in the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate after two rounds of play Saturday at The Classic Club/Troon Golf Course.

Adell (pictured at right) carded rounds of 78 and 72 and is in a tie for 15th place with her 150 total. Final round will be played Sunday morning.
Kirsten Locke added a 77 and 80 for 157, tied for 38th place, while Drew Thomas posted a pair of 82s and is tied for 77th place with her 164 total.
Rounding out the Cal Poly scoring, Madison Hirsch had an 83 and 82 for a 165 total, tied for 84th place, while Taylor Yoshitake posted posted rounds of 80 and 88 for a 168 total, tied for 92nd place.
Cal Poly carded a 317 in the morning round and 316 in the afternoon round for a 633 total. Fresno State leads the way with a 580 total, followed by College of Charleston at 595 and Cal State Fullerton at 602.
Individual leader after 36 holes is Christine Uhalde of Fresno State with rounds of 71 and 69 for a 140 total, one stroke ahead of Charleston's Kathy Boehm.
