Appeared in 28 games starting in one averaging 13.8 minutes
and 6.9 points per game... scored in double figures seven times all
off the bench... Scored a career-high 22 twice during the
season, first came at Fresno State (Nov. 17) when she hit
eight of 11 from the floor and five of seven long range... added
the second game against Lamar (Dec. 4) hitting eight of 14 from the
floor and five of 11 long range... added a third game with 20
points against Santa Clara... Shot 41 percent from the floor and 42
percent long range hitting 39 of 93 three pointers... Fifth on the
team in scoring and second in the Big West Conference in three
point shooting percentage... also seventh in three pointers made
per game (1.63)... Grabbed career-high six rebounds against Santa
Clara (Dec. 30) and assists with four against Lamar.... Recorded
four steals in the BWC opener against Long Beach State....
2009-10: Sophomore
Appeared in 28 games averaging 7.5 minutes and 3.0 points per
game… Shot 47 percent from the floor and made 43 percent
long range… Scored in double figures twice establishing a
new career-high of 13 points at UC Davis (Jan. 9)… In the
game Burns hit four of six from the floor and three of five long
range… Added a second game of 12 points against Cal State
Northridge (Feb. 20)… Grabbed four rebounds twice (new
career-high) against Cal State Bakersfield (Nov. 29) and Seattle
(Dec. 29)… Also tied a career-high in assists with two in
the Seattle game… Tallied three games with two steals and
recorded game with one block…
2008-09: Freshman
Appeared in 23 of Cal Poly’s 32 games … averaged 6.3
minutes and 2.0 points per contest … shot .395 (15-for-38)
from the floor and .400 (14-for-35) from three-point range …
sunk a trio of three-pointers and scored a career-high 10 points
during 77-60 victory against Idaho (11/29) … played a
season-high 21 minutes at Cal State Fullerton (1/8).
Miramonte HS/Orinda, CA:
Four-year letterwinner for the Matadors was a four-time All-Diablo
Foothill League selection … assisted program to North Coast
Section Division III titles during freshman (2004-05), junior
(2006-07) and senior (2007-08) seasons and a runner-up showing as a
sophomore … helped Miramonte compile a 101-21 aggregate mark
during her tenure, a 54-2 Diablo Foothill League record and four
league title … averaged 8.6 points per game as a freshman,
11.9 as a sophomore, 13.5 as a junior and 12.7 as a senior …
sank 234 three-pointers, including 64 as a junior to pace all North
Coast Section players … named to Contra Costa Times
All-Metro third team and earned All-Metro honorable mention praise
from the San Francisco Chronicle as a junior.
