Men’s Tennis Doubles Team Advances to Round of 16

ATHENS, GA --  The Cal Poly men's doubles team of Andre Dome and Matt Fawcett will live to see another day at the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship when they picked up a straight-set win over 13th-ranked team of Jonas Lutjen and Nik Scholtz of Mississippi

The 68th-ranked Mustang duo won the first set in a 7-6 tiebreaker. The team dominated in the second set, 6-3, to secure the win.

The team will advance to the round of 16 on Friday against the 7th-ranked team of Panav Jha and Eric Quigley from Kentucky.

The Kentucky team defeated a team from Bucknell, 6-2, 6-0, to advance to the next round.

Dome will be familiar with Quigley's game as the Kentucky player defeated Dome in the first round of singles play on Wednesday.
