2010 -- Played in first four games of sophomore season, including a start against Texas State ... likely will best be remembered for second-half performance against then-No. 1 Montana when he hit David Mahr with 83-yard touchdown pass, igniting Cal Poly’s come-from-behind 35-33 victory ... also connected with Dominique Johnson on 25-yard scoring pass and rushed nine times for 22 yards ... for season netted 111 yards on 36 rushes, scoring once on one-yard run against Texas State, and completed 13 of 26 passes for 192 yards and two scores ... was 10-for-21 passing for 64 yards in lone collegiate start so far, at Texas State on Sept. 18, 2010 ... also rushed for 79 yards on 23 carries in that game ... was 3 of 7 for 18 yards and a touchdown in 2011 Spring Game ... also rushed four times for 14 yards.

2009 -- Did not take any snaps at quarterback as a redshirt freshman ... completed four of eight passes for 16 yards in 2010 Spring Game.

2008 -- Redshirt.

High School – Shumway passed for 2,023 yards and rushed for 613 more for head coach Charlie Wegher’s Agoura High School Chargers in 2007 ... completed 160 of 246 passes with six interceptions and 19 touchdowns as the Chargers finished 6-4 overall and tied for third place in the Marmonte League with a 4-3 mark ... averaged 263.6 yards of total offense per game en route to first-team All-Marmonte League and second-team All-Ventura County honors ... twice was team MVP ... also played basketball for the Chargers and twice was an All-Marmonte League point guard ... completed 121 of 205 passes for 1,429 yards and 11 scores with five interceptions as a junior ... also rushed for 211 yards and two TDs, earning second-team All-Marmonte League honors ... competed in track and field as a sophomore.
