Perry, Azevedo to Serve as Co-Head Coaches for 2010-11 Season

Pair of Mustang Wrestlers Earn All-American Honors

AKRON, Ohio -- Two Cal Poly wrestlers earned All-American honors at the Asics University National Freestyle Championships held April 8-11. Mustang sophomore Ryan DesRoches placed third at 79 kilograms (174 pounds) while Ryan Smith, also a sophomore, finished fifth at 96 kilograms (211.5 pounds). Azevedo Earns Coaching Honor From D1CollegeWrestling.net

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- John Azevedo, who guided Cal Poly to a third-place Pacific-10 Conference finish and produced a pair of NCAA All-Americans, has been named Pac-10 Coach of the Year by D1CollegeWrestling.net. OMAHA, Neb. -- Cal Poly senior Chase Pami is the sixth NCAA Division I runner-up in Mustang wrestling history.
